The Gloucester City Library now has the federal tax forms of 1040, 1040-SR and booklets at the Front Desk. We also provide contact information if you would like to print out the Forms from a computer or to get a hold of NJ for the State Tax Forms.

Tax Help
Tax-Aide sites through AARP & the IRS are now open for the season. The Campaign for Working Families opens 1/27/25. The following sites offer free in-person or virtual tax help by appointment only.
- AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers (1) low-contact or (2) contact-free tax help by appointment only. The following sites offer free in-person or virtual tax help by appointment only. Taxpayers meet once or twice with a certified volunteer to scan documents and gather basic information. Taxpayers and certified volunteers interact by phone or online and exchange documents electronically, Go to https://taxaide.aarpfoundation.org/ for more information or to make an appointment.
- The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer in-person, drop-off, or virtual tax prep assistance. Go to https://www.irs.gov/individuals/free-tax-return-preparation-for-qualifying-taxpayers for location and appointment information.

Where to File
The State of New Jersey has kicked off IRS Direct File, an innovative program that provides residents with a free, easy-to-use, secure way to file taxes online, with live support to answer any questions. IRS Direct File is available in English and Spanish, and works on mobile devices, tablets and personal computers. Learn more about it at DirectFile.NJ.gov.
